A Quick Overview of Kingston (Cromwell Road)
The current bus station is a key public transport facility in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. The bus station was built in the mid 1990’s, serves approximately 11,000 passengers per day and is served by 23 bus routes.
The design approach for the redeveloped bus station has been to connect the site to the wider urban realm. To achieve this, the orientation of the buildings and canopy structure has been adjusted to face the town centre and the structural language of columns and beams has been reorganised in order to provide a clear, open and accessible bus station.
