A Quick Overview of Albion Square
Albion Square is a delightful Victorian Square tucked away in a conservation area in the London Fields ward. The square is surrounded by period housing and is shaded by mature trees.
The Albion Square conservation area was designated in 1975 and includes Albion Square itself and Stonebridge Common, both of which are scheduled London squares and further protected by act of parliament, together with their surrounding residential properties.
- These houses comprise pairs of semi-detached houses dating from the 1840s built of yellow or grey stock brick with stucco dressings and classical decorative features.
- The Council is consulting on a revised boundary for the Albion Square conservation area along with a new draft conservation area appraisal.
- A six week consultation period was conducted 13 April 2015 to 25 May 2015.
